All About is a movie blog all about...

Welcome to the first installment of All About. I'd like to begin by sharing what All About is all about.

1. Many of us have spent the past year fighting back against the administration. It's been A LOT of work, and a lot of fighting. And in the process, many of us have lost sight of what we are ultimately fighting for. We fight and we work as hard as we do because ultimately we want to live in a world of love, happiness, and beauty. For many of us, that beauty is found in art. Although I'm not an artist myself, I hope to build a platform to help those that do make art. All About is first and foremost all about reminding ourselves that ultimately this all comes back to love and happiness.

2. On a more person level, this past year I've lost sight of what I'm all about: I love movies and I love to write. I'm starting this blog as a way to get back to doing what I love. So for me, All About is all about my love for film and for writing. I hope this blog inspires others to start doing what they're all about.

3. We've seen important strides in the film industry and other industries this past year on social media through #MeToo and #TIMESUP. But this hasn't yet translated to a rise in publications focused on film from a women's lens. I'd like to see way more women-centered online publications focused on film. I hope All About will one day be used as a megaphone of #TIMESUP—not just as a platform to tell our stories of sexual harassment, violence, and mistreatment, but through our stories and perspectives on all things film.
